Peak Pickleball Center: A New Hub at Chapel Hills Mall by Alba Building LTD.
In August 2024, Alba Building LTD., a leading commercial construction company based in Colorado Springs, embarked on an exciting project to remodel the former Burlington department store at Chapel Hills Mall. This renovation will give life to Peak Pickleball, the nation’s largest privately owned indoor pickleball facility, boasting 24 courts.
Located at 1730 Briargate Blvd., this 80,380-square-foot space will soon host pickleball enthusiasts from all over the region. The project involves significant upgrades, including new lighting, improved HVAC systems, and the removal of dropped ceilings to create a 22-foot-high play area—perfect for pickleball matches. With 11 courts on the upper level and 13 on the lower, the facility will also feature championship-sized courts, a private court for lessons, and two “dink” courts for warm-ups.
The design of Peak Pickleball has been carefully crafted to integrate with the community and support local businesses. While the facility will offer memberships and walk-in options, it won’t have concessions or alcohol sales. Instead, visitors will be encouraged to explore the mall’s existing food court and restaurants, contributing to the revitalization of Chapel Hills Mall.
